Arctic MonkeysTV On The RadioWarpaintPanda Bear and Smith Westernsmade up a star-studded bill last night (September 25) at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Opened up by Chicago’s Smith Westerns, before performances from Warpaint andPanda Bear (Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox), Arctic Monkeys arrived onto the iconic outdoor stage to the strains of Hot Chocolate’s ‘You Sexy Thing’.

Sporting his trademark leather jacket and new teddy boy quiff, frontman Alex Turnerplayed up to his classic rock’n’roll look by saying ‘Thank you very much’ in the style ofElvis after 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair'. “Are you in a good mood tonight, Bowl? I am,” started the frontman, later introducing drummer Matt Helders to the crowd and pointing out his stars and stripes trousers.

The band played a number of other songs from their new album 'Suck It And See', including 'Brick By Brick', 'The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala' and 'She's Thunderstorms'. They finished their set with 'When The Sun Goes Down', after which Turner blew kisses to the cheering audience.

The band's UK arena tour kicks off at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena on October 28 and ends at Liverpool's Echo Arena on November 9.

TV On The Radio closed the five-band bill, with a frenetic set that included 'Will Do' off their 2011 album 'Nine Types of Light' and classic single 'Wolf Like Me', which was rapturously received by the crowd.
